The foundation of faith - God's word.

At a writers retreat, it was suggested that I change the title of my website and blog. The coach who suggested it said that the blog name needed to reflect who I am as an author. It needed to be identifiable.

After prayer and research, my website ministry name and logo will change from to This new name incorporates my personal name linking to the mission of faith. It is faith that has grounded me since I was 29 years old.

The word grounded means to lay a foundation. Faith is assurance, guarantee, evidence of things unseen. The foundation of who I am in Christ is through faith. The word through signifies the grounds or reason assigned as the principal motive for the sake of – in this case, faith.

Ephesians 3:17 tells believers that Christ dwells in our hearts through faith and that we are being rooted and grounded in love. I love this verse and those following. The meaning of rooted is to cause to take root, firmly planted or established.

For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father,

from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you

to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – that you,

being rooted and grounded in love,

may have strength to comprehend with all the saints

what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,

that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (ESV)

God brought Grounded Through Faith to mind as the new name, but the purpose of my ministry does not change. My desire is still to help others grow in their faith through Bible Study, speaking/teaching and writing inspired from God’s word.

On another note, last year when I set up my authors domain name, I discovered that was taken. Typing in that web address revealed it was assigned to a landscaping company in the state of Virginia. That was good for a laugh, but did not help me in registering my author page. The domain I had to use for a .com was What a long name to type. Therefore, I have changed my authors website to
