You Are Never Alone

You reveal the path of life to me;

In Your presence is abundant joy;

In Your right hand are eternal pleasures.

Psalm 16:11 (HCSB )

Each morning as I study the Bible, my husband sits in his recliner across the room reading. We do not talk during that time, but knowing his presence is near gives me contentment.

In Psalm 16, the author proclaims the Lord as his refuge and counsel. He acknowledges the presence of the Lord as giving fulness of joy and pleasures forevermore. The ever-presence of God is one of His attributes. He is everywhere and with you all the time.

Understanding that God is always present (Omnipresent) everywhere and is unlimited in all things has helped me to be confident in what is set before me. My family, work, home, and church; in all these things God is present. He is not limited in what He can accomplish in and through my life, and circumstances. This helps me to accept what I cannot change knowing there must be a purpose. If there were not, God would change things because He can, according to His will.

The Psalmist tells us there is joy in the presence of God and eternal pleasures in His right hand. This is so true. When drawn into His presence with our worship and prayer, our hearts respond with an unexplainable joy no matter what is going on around us. There is no greater joy than time spent with Him.

We are never alone. Even when we think we are , we are not. God is with us. The pleasure of His company in this life will continue to the fulness of joy in the next. He is near right where we are. Spending time with Him each day in prayer and Bible study is a joy.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your presence with me always. By your Spirit you fill me with joy, even in those times when peace seems far away. Your guidance on my path keeps me moving forward to experience You in deeper ways. I praise the name of Jesus and it is in His name I pray, Amen.
